Listener accounts
Accounts are optional. If you sign in, World On Air stores your email address, name or profile image supplied by Google, saved stations, and preferences such as country, volume, and motion. Railway hosts the account service and database. Better Auth manages sign-in and an HTTP-only session cookie that page scripts cannot read. Resend processes your email address to deliver five-minute magic links.
Browser storage
World On Air stores your selected country in local storage. Existing browser-only saved stations are transferred to your account once after a successful sign-in and then removed from local storage. If that transfer fails, the browser copy remains so you can retry.
Location
Location is optional and requested only after you press “Use my location.” Your browser supplies coordinates so the site can choose between the supported countries. The calculation happens on your device; World On Air does not store or transmit your precise coordinates.
Radio, image and time services
The site contacts Radio Browser to find stations, Open-Meteo to determine local sunrise and sunset, and third-party radio servers when you play a stream. Those services receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and browser details under their own policies. Station logos may also load from station-operated websites.
Analytics
World On Air uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate page views, visits, referrers, countries, devices and site performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy-first, does not use cookies, and does not track visitors across websites. World On Air does not use advertising cookies or sell personal information.
Your choices and deletion
You may deny location access, choose a country manually, remove saved stations, sign out, or clear this site’s browser data at any time. Use Delete account in account settings to permanently remove your listener account, saved stations, and preferences. Provider backups may remain temporarily under Railway’s operational retention policy.
